Footscray West Primary School believes that by working together we help our children become successful and caring people who value relationships and are connected to their community.
Families are welcome and encouraged to participate in school life as volunteers across a range of opportunities.
There are many things you can do with your child's grade; from reading with students, helping with excursions, camps and special activities, sharing a special interest or expertise with class groups, to preparing resources or covering books. If you are interested ask your child’s teacher how you can help.
There are also many ways to be involved across the whole school, including joining the School Council or one of its sub-committees, socialising and fundraising with the Parents Association, assisting in the garden, with the school disco, working bees, and anything else… if you notice something needs doing, it probably does!
Family members are also invited to assist at FWPS. Please check the school's calendar and keep an eye on the weekly Newsletter for details.
