At times, our school needs to make decisions or enact processes that are not preferred by all. While we will always do so with integrity and with the very best interest of our students at heart, we are often balancing the competing demands of many, including varied family values, as well as school and departmental priorities.
This said, we understand that there are times our families or community members may wish to raise a concern, share a thought or suggestion, ask a question or offer feedback about our school and our practices.
If it is your concern, it is our concern…
We believe that the voice of our school community matters and we encourage you to make contact with us via your preferred method, so we can begin a discussion to work towards a resolution or an understanding of the factors behind our decision making at FWPS.
If you have a classroom concern or suggestion we always recommend that you start by having a chat with your child’s classroom teacher.
If you feel that you would like to speak to someone else regarding your child or if it is a matter not relating to your child and their class, you can contact a member of our Principal Team (Brendan Millar – Principal, Carolyn Lockie and Liz Beasley – Assistant Principals), via the following methods:
In person | Please feel free to catch Brendan, Carolyn or Liz in person or call the school office to organise a time to meet. They are regularly in the yard before and after school, and love to have informal chats with families to find efficient solutions.
Phone us | Brendan, Carolyn or Liz can be contacted via phone on 03 9687 1535. Please ask our office to forward your call.
Email us | Please email us at footscray.west.ps@education.vic.gov.au
