Footscray West Primary School has a compulsory school uniform which comprises a selection of practical mix & match items in the school colours of predominantly green with highlights of gold.

A sunsmart 'no hat, no play' policy operates in Terms 1 and 4 each year, where it is compulsory for students to wear an approved Sunsmart hat.

Sturdy, closed-toe footwear is required.
