Who we are:

We are a group of Footscray West Primary parents who aim to provide a pathway to support the school and its students and the school community.

The Footscray West Primary School Parents' Association (or PA), formally became a registered Association in 2019. Please click here for the 2025 Parents' Association Constitution and member registration form.

Elections for the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary positions occur in October each year. 

What we do:

We have an annual calendar of activities including but not limited to the ever popular Mother’s/Father’s/Special Person Day stalls, the second hand uniform shop and other fundraising activities. 

We use any funds raised to contribute to projects that enhance the school community and student experience such as the Prep welcome packs, the Year 6 graduation ceremony, and donations to school initiatives year to year as agreed with the School Council. 2023 saw the Parents' Association fund the wominjeka outdoor artwork and the outdoor speakers for use during outdoor assemblies.

We regularly post in the newsletter to keep the whole school community aware of our activities. We also have a Facebook page to reach our community. 

How can you help:

Join the PA! To have a strong and vibrant parents and friends community we need the efforts and talents of many and we would welcome your involvement. 

The committee meets on a regular basis. All meetings are advertised in the newsletter.
