Who we are:

We are a group of Footscray West Primary parents and carers who work in cooperation the school to create a positive impact on your child’s time at school.  

The Footscray West Primary School Parents' Association (or PA), formally became a registered Association in 2019.

Elections for Office bearer roles (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) occur in October each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). 

What we do:

One of our core principles is creating community building events to bring together our amazing and diverse school community. This is through hosting events and providing fundraising to groups/activities and social building activities. 

We have an annual calendar of activities including, but not limited to, the ever popular Easter Raffle, Mother’s/Father’s/Special Person Day stalls, school trivia night, bake sales, the second hand uniform shop, end of term student events and other fundraising activities.  

We use any funds raised to contribute to projects that enhance the school community and student experience such as the Prep Welcome afternoon tea, Year 6 graduation ceremony, and donations to school initiatives year to year as agreed with the School Council. We regularly post in the newsletter to keep the whole school community aware of our activities and we meets on a regular basis each term. Our meetings are advertised in the newsletter and everyone in the school community is welcome to attend. 

How can you help:

Join the PA! To have a strong and vibrant Parents Association that reflects the diversity and spirit of our school community, we need the efforts and talents of many. Your involvement is invited.

• Become a registered member - vote on committee activities, priorities and office bearers: Complete the 2026 Parents' Association Constitution and member registration form and email it to us or drop it into the office.
