Enrolment Information Sessions and School Tours


In late April and May, our school’s leadership team and Prep Transition Coordinator will host a series of Enrolment Information Sessions and School Tours for families of students commencing Prep in 2026. These sessions will outline the vision and values of our school, and how these drive the program of learning – academic, social and emotional – for our students.

 

Immediately following the Information Session, we will conduct a school tour, co-hosted by our current Year Six Captains (student leaders), Prep Transition Coordinator and school leadership team. On these tours, we will take you through the school buildings and grounds, as we describe the program of learning and experiences offered at FWPS.

 

We warmly invite all interested families to attend.

 

2026 Prep Enrolment Information Sessions and School Tours will run on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday 29th April 2025, 9:30am to 10:45am
  • Tuesday 13th May 2025, 9:30am to 10:45am
  • Tuesday 13th May 2025, 6:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Friday 30th May 2025, 9:30am to 10:45am

'Ready, Set, Go! School Readiness' Parent Information Session presented by Early Life Foundations


How do you know when your child is ready for school? What does readiness mean and why is it important?
 
This session considers the importance of sending a child to school when they have the maturity to make the most of their learning and to enjoy their 13 years of formal schooling rather than just “cope” or play catch up for many years.
This session will explore the following aspects of readiness:
• Maturation and development
• Temperament
• Child’s position in the family
• School expectations
• Decision making process and planning ahead
• Importance of social and emotional development
• Cultivating partnerships and transition to school
 
‘Early Life Foundations’ is a not-for-profit organisation that prides themselves on their knowledge and expertise, and on maintaining an independent voice on the national and international stage for children’s development, teaching and learning, research and parenting.
