In Zone Enrolment Process

If you reside within our school zone, please download and complete the below 2027 Enrolment Form. Families attending our school tours will be provided with a hardcopy form.

When submitting the Student Enrolment Form, also attach:

Your child’s Birth Certificate
Your child’s Immunisation Certificate/Record
Proof of residence (for new families to the school) – utility bill, driver’s licence, rental agreement, etc. Please see here for details of the residential address check.

If you are a separated family, one parent will need complete the Student Enrolment Form and the other parent will need to complete the Alternative Family Student Enrolment Form. Please contact the school office for further details.

Out of Zone Enrolment Process

If you do not reside within our school zone, please download and complete the below 2027 Enrolment Application. Families attending our school tours will be provided with a hardcopy form.

The supporting documents listed above are not required at this stage for out of zone applications.

Please note:

To commence primary school, children must be five years old by 30th April in the year they start school.

At Footscray West Primary School, we accept enrolments for the following year from Term 2 onward. We do not manage a wait list – so we do not accept enrolments beyond the next school year.

If you have enrolment questions, please contact the school office.

Upon receipt of your enrolment, an appointment may be scheduled for you and your child/ren to meet with the Principal, Assistant Principal or member of the Wellbeing team to further discuss your application.

All new enrolment forms need to be lodged at the school before Friday 31st July, 2026.

Families of kindergarten children are encouraged to submit their enrolment form or enrolment application for the coming year by Friday 31st July 2026. You will be emailed your placement offer by Friday 14th August 2026. Our transition program is held between October and December.
