Bullying Prevention

Footscray West Primary School has a ZERO tolerance policy on bullying.

We believe that every child has the right to feel safe and secure and the Footscray West Student Engagement Policy is designed to:

  • develop mutual respect for the rights and feelings  of self and others
  • build resilience
  • foster co-operation across the school community.

Through the TRIBES process we have built a positive, caring and supportive school environment where we are proud of the diversity and dynamic culture created by valuing and modelling respect for all members of the school community.

Any concerns of bullying should be referred to the teacher, Assistant Principal or Principal.

In the event of any incidences of bullying, the school has clear processes, on supervision and established protocols for the mediation and counselling of targeted students and students engaging in bullying behaviour, the involvement of parents, and following through consequences for bullying.
