Enrichment activities complement the social, academic, physical, and creative programs at Footscray West.

CAMPS

Attending camp provides children with social and physical challenges, develops independence, and is heaps of fun!

Camp Program

• Prep/ Grades 1/2  - The younger children enjoy a 'Night of Fun' at school, while the Grade 2s are invited to stay on for a mega-sleepover in the Gym.
• Grades 3/4 - Children, accompanying teachers, and parent helpers travel by coach to the camp venue and enjoy on-site activities. Recent destinations have included: Phillip Island and Mount Evelyn.
• Grades 5/6 - Children, accompanying teachers, and parent helpers travel by coach to destinations such as Swan Hill and for a longer stay and enjoy side trips to areas of historic and cultural interest.
• Children unable to attend camp enjoy a non-campers activity program at school.

EXCURSIONS, INCURSIONS & GENERAL EVENTS

Excursions & Incursions

• Excursions & incursions at whole-school and grade levels are organised throughout the year.
• Activities are often linked to each grade-level's term topic; or local, state, and national events.
• Excursions & incursions are funded through a yearly Excursion levy.
• The Excursion Levy covers the cost of all excursions and incursions. Payment is made alongside school fees. Arrangements can be made to pay by instalment. Current fees are available on the Newsletter page.

• Family members and the community are encouraged to share special skills, talents, and interests. Talk to your class teacher or contact the office.
